Yoga is one of the surest ways in which I listen.

Aspiring to share from the heart always, session is to be steeped in philosophy & poetry, grounded in scientific principles & layered with playful creativity.

I seek to guide inspired by the sacred authenticity of my own simple presence. Steering towards curiosity, reflection, sovereignty, compassion. I resource the teachings / modalities I find to be most engaging & real.

Most likely, you’ll find me immersed in the realm of Yin.

History

We are such a mix of so many changing things?

I grew up without a love of body and this is to put it lightly. Without a love of sport, dance, exercise, yoga or any etc you could name. PE classes saw me reliably seated by fourteen, coming down from class A activities instead. I had no interest in movement.
Or listening.

I went to my first yoga class in my mid 20s. I was stiff af, pretty numb and wholly disconnected. I thank god for those initial (infrequent) one-hour-a-week’s that were able to breathe just enough space into my dense mind / body. They were to be the beginnings of a thawing that would eventually shift so much.

I did my first 200hr YTT in 2020 to deepen my own understanding of the many aspects to yoga that intrigue me. It cut me open and I bled and bled the truth. After my final exam the studio offered me a teaching job. I was openly resistant yet I took it with both of my hands.

Since, my connection with guiding others and my own study / practice of yoga have been ever in flux. I fall in and out of love. I can really struggle with “the wellness world”. Please make no mistake, I am vastly grateful and often in awe of my teachers and this ancient art. Much of the discipline is so very dear to my heart.

Yoga set me on a path of mind-body awakening and coaxed me towards trustable autonomy. It led me into intimate relationship with my body, breath, being; with cycle, duality; reality. It is one of the highest empowerments I’ve known thus far- it stirred and solidified an agency I simply would not trade.

One that I love to share.
